    •  A complimentary research database for teachers, the Teacher Reference Center (TRC) provides indexing and abstracts for more than 220 peer-reviewed journals.

  • TOPICsearch Classroom Discussion Tools       

    • Teachers, librarians, and student researchers can use this database to explore current events, social, political, and economic issues, scientific discoveries and other popular topics frequently discussed in the classroom.

  • Professional Development Collection     
    • Highly specialized collection of nearly 520 high-quality education journals, including more than 350 peer-reviewed titles for professional educators. Contains more than 200 educational reports. Professional Development Collection is the most comprehensive collection of full-text education journals worldwide.
  • PubMed 
    • PubMed comprises more than 24 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites. 

Databases for Other Subjects

Some research topics will require you to look beyond the education databases. Academic Search Complete is a good starting point if you need magazines or articles. If you need background information, try Credo Reference; it contains hundreds of encyclopedias. Does your topic have anything to do with behavior or mental health?
