Hello!
I'm Kala Dunn, the Research and Instruction Librarian here at Columbia College. I have a B.A. in English Literature with a concentration in Nineteenth century American Lit from the University of Tennessee, where I also received my Masters in information Sciences. I enjoy spending my free time with my puppies, reading, and hiking/camping. My favorite books to read are gothic novels and nonfiction True Crime!
For Students: I'm here to help you with any and all of your research needs. I can help you from the beginning to the end of your research. Anything from narrowing down your topic to finding the perfect source. If I am not at the Reference Desk you can come back to my office, use our online chat, call my office, or email me to set up a one on one session. No question is too big or too small so please reach out!
For Faculty: Email/call me to schedule a (live or recorded) research help session for your classes! I can help your classes recognize credible information, the difference between primary and secondary sources, how to search our databases, and everything else research related! I'm also happy to create a research guide for your specific course. Just fill out this form and I will be happy to help!
