Canvas Research Certification

Students can self-register for the Research Certification through the link below!

Library Research Certification 

Modules:

"Edens 101"

Students will learn about Edens Library and the resources available to help them. They will learn how to make requests, navigate the library website, and how to get research assistance!

"Research Basics"

Students will learn the basics of performing research. In this module, they will learn how to find keywords, create a search string, and how to navigate databases!

"Intro to Info"

Students will learn about different types of information and their uses. In this module, they will also learn the importance of evaluating their sources and some methods for ensuring the credibility of the information they use.

"Research What?"

Students will learn how to choose a topic and write research question. They will be given tips to narrowing down their topics to ensure they are manageable and researchable. They will be shown how to write a research question to help guide them through their research project.

Request an appointment via Navigate!

When requesting a meeting, please provide information on your assignment/topic.

To set up an appointment:

  1. Go to navigate on the web page columbiasc.campus.eab.com
  2. Select "Schedule an Appointment" on the right-hand side 
  3. Select "Library" for Care Unit 
  4. Select the service you seek
  5. From there, availability will pop up as well as librarian's names 
  6. Click "Save Appointment" and your appointment is set
