Understanding Plagiarism in the Digital Age: Copy and Paste Plagiarsim

Copy and Paste

The most common and blatant form of plagiarism is copying and pasting text from a source without proper attribution. This can be done  either with or without the aid of an AI tool. To avoid this, you must enclose any directly quoted text in quotation marks and include a citation. This rule applies to content generated by AI as well as material found in traditional sources like websites or books. The only exceptions are brief, common phrases and the proper names of things or places. Generally, any phrase longer than four or five words should be put in quotation marks.
