Reference Page Basics

APA references overview:

  • Type References at the top, center of your references page.
  • The references page should be double-spaced.
  • References should be in alphabetical order by the first author's last name.
  • For articles, websites, and books, only capitalize the first word of the title and the subtitle, as well as proper nouns.
  • For journal titles, use the capitalization and punctuation that the journal uses.
