English (Hornbuckle): Databases

Why use databases?

Databases are used to locate journal articles, newspapers, and magazines. Most of the articles found in the databases cannot be found if you use Google/Google Scholar.

Use keywords to find articles in the databases.

Some keyword combinations you may want to try are:

Author AND Theme

"Story Title" AND theme

"Story Title" AND criticism

(Author OR Author) AND Theme

("Story Title" OR "Story Title") AND Theme

***Keep in mind, these are only suggestions to help you get started. You are not limited to these combinations.***
